Oxygen X Drives Women’s Financial Inclusion in Lagos Through Sustainable Farming Initiative
Oxygen X Finance Company, a digital lending platform and subsidiary of Access Holdings, has partnered with the Lagos Food Bank Initiative to empower women in underserved communities inAgege through a sustainable backyard farming initiative in celebration of International Women’s Month.
The program supports women’s economic empowerment and financial inclusion in Lagos by
equipping beneficiaries with poultry farming resources, including cages, chicks, feeders, antibiotics, and multivitamins, enabling them to build sustainable income streams.

To drive long-term impact, participants also received financial literacy and credit education, focused on running profitable businesses, managing credit responsibly, and scaling their ventures.
Speaking on the initiative, Emmanuella Awogu, Brand Manager and Acting Head of Marketing at Oxygen X, said: “We believe financial inclusion goes beyond access to credit. By combining business tools with financial education, we are enabling women to build sustainable livelihoods and strengthen their communities.”
Oxygen X will continue to support and monitor beneficiaries in partnership with the Lagos Food Bank Initiative, reinforcing its commitment to women’s empowerment, financial inclusion, and sustainable community development.
