BUA Cement Declares ₦2.05 Dividend Following Annual Meeting
BUA Cement Plc has confirmed that shareholders at its 9th Annual General Meeting, held on Monday, July 21, 2025, at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, approved a dividend payment of ₦2.05 per ordinary share of 50 kobo for the 2024 financial year.
During the meeting, shareholders also received and adopted the company’s audited financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2024, along with the accompanying reports of the directors, external auditors, and the audit committee.
The company re-elected three retiring directors—Khairat Abdulrazaq-Gwadabe, Shehu Abubakar, and Finn Arnoldsen. The remuneration of the company’s auditors was approved for the 2025 financial year, and five individuals were appointed to constitute the statutory audit committee.
In compliance with Section 257 of the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 2020, the company disclosed the remuneration of its managers. Additionally, the meeting approved a resolution fixing the remuneration of non-executive directors for the 2025 financial year, with ₦12.74 million allocated to non-executive directors, ₦14.56 million to independent non-executive directors, and ₦18.2 million for the chairman.
Shareholders also renewed the general mandate authorizing the company to procure goods and services from related parties on normal commercial terms, in line with Rule 20.8(a) of the NGX rules on related-party transactions.
