Access Bank Sets Agenda for Africa Trade Conference 2026

Access Bank Plc has positioned the 2026 Africa Trade Conference (ATC) as a strategic platform to advance Africa’s role in global trade, facilitate policy dialogue, and deepen partnerships between African and international markets.

Group CEO Roosevelt Ogbonna said the conference, themed “Turning Vision into Velocity: Building Africa’s Trade Ecosystem for Real-World Impact,” will gather leaders from government, finance, logistics, technology, agriculture, and manufacturing to develop actionable solutions for expanding intra-African and global trade.

“At Access Bank, we see ourselves not just as financiers, but as connectors of markets, ideas, and opportunities. ATC 2026 is designed as a platform for action, bringing together those shaping policy, capital, infrastructure, and innovation to define Africa’s trade future,” Ogbonna said.

The conference will highlight the African Continental Free Trade Area’s potential, focusing on policy harmonisation, infrastructure, digitisation, and innovative financing to unlock Africa’s trade capacity. It will also explore technology’s role in global commerce, sustainable trade, market access, and financing models to support SMEs and industrial growth.

Ogbonna noted that Access Bank’s presence in 24 countries, including 16 in Africa, positions the bank to facilitate cross-border trade and help African businesses become globally competitive.
