ABC Transport Charts Course for 33rd AGM Amid Growth Outlook

ABC Transport Plc has announced that its 33rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Mayfur Suites and Conference Centre, Owerri, Imo State, starting at 11:00 AM. The meeting will cover key business matters including the presentation of the audited financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2024, along with reports from the directors, auditors, and audit committee.

Shareholders will also vote on the re-election of Mr. Frank Nneji and Mr. Emmanuel Chilaka Nwanna, who are retiring by rotation. Other agenda items include the disclosure of management remuneration, election of audit committee members, and authorization for directors to fix the auditors’ remuneration. A special resolution will be considered to fix the remuneration of non-executive directors.

Shareholders who are unable to attend in person may appoint proxies, with completed proxy forms to be submitted to First Registrars and Investor Services Limited no later than 48 hours before the meeting. The company’s register of members and transfer books will be closed from November 3 to November 5, 2025, to update records. Shareholders are encouraged to update their bank details for e-dividend payments and to check the company’s website for a list of unclaimed dividends.

Questions related to the AGM may be submitted in writing to the Company Secretary by November 7, 2025. Nominations for the audit committee must be submitted at least 21 days before the meeting, and nominees must be financially literate, with at least one being a member of a professional accounting body. The electronic version of the 2024 Annual Report will be available on the company’s website, and shareholders who have provided their email addresses will receive a download link.
