Union Bank Leads YEIDEP Grant Disbursement with BVN Verification

The Youth Economic Intervention and De-Radicalisation Empowerment Programme (YEIDEP) has reached a critical stage, with Union Bank spearheading the disbursement process for grants ranging between ₦50,000 and ₦500,000.

Union Bank has completed the initial collection of beneficiaries’ bank account details and has now moved to the Bank Verification Number (BVN) verification phase to ensure only legitimate applicants receive funding.

The grant aims to combat youth unemployment, reduce poverty, and boost small-scale enterprise development. Beneficiaries are advised to ensure that their BVN details align with their submitted names and bank records, as inconsistencies may delay or disqualify their application.

YEIDEP is a youth-focused initiative developed by the Youths Off The Street Initiative (YOTSI) in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Youth Development and the National Assembly’s Committee on Sports Development.

The program is designed to provide socio-economic opportunities for young Nigerians and equip them for long-term productivity and nation-building. While Union Bank beneficiaries are likely to be first in line for disbursements, applicants from other banks are still undergoing documentation and verification phases.
