First HoldCo Appoints New Boards Across Non-Bank Subsidiaries

First HoldCo Plc has unveiled a new set of board appointments across its non-commercial banking subsidiaries, following regulatory approvals aimed at strengthening governance and management oversight.

The appointments cut across asset management, insurance, trusteeship, brokerage, and advisory businesses within the Group, reflecting a broader strategy to align operations with international best-practice standards.

At First Asset Management Limited, Ebikabo Williams was named Chairman, supported by a team of directors with experience spanning banking, investment management, and corporate advisory services.

FirstCap Limited appointed Yewande Amusan as Chairman, while First Securities Brokers Limited named John Akpeki to lead its board. Similar leadership changes were announced at First Trustees Limited and First Insurance Brokers, which recently marked its 25th anniversary.

Group leadership described the appointments as part of a deliberate effort to deepen expertise, respond to rising competition, and meet evolving regulatory expectations in Nigeria’s financial services sector.

The company noted that the refreshed boards position its subsidiaries for growth, innovation, and potential expansion as the Group continues to diversify its earnings base beyond traditional banking.
