International Breweries Announces Key Board and Secretariat Changes

International Breweries Plc has announced significant leadership transitions following board and secretariat updates.

The company confirmed the resignation of Mr. Sunday Omole from his position as Non-Executive Director, effective July 31, 2025. The Board expressed deep gratitude for his meaningful contributions over the years, and wished him well in his future endeavors.

In his stead, Mrs. Toyin Adeniji was appointed as a new Non-Executive Director, also effective from July 31, 2025. Mrs. Adeniji brings more than 28 years of high-level experience across banking, development finance, and private sector growth initiatives. Her illustrious career includes a senior leadership role at the International Finance Corporation, where she spearheaded strategic, global financing initiatives. More recently, she served as Executive Director at the Bank of Industry in Nigeria, overseeing pivotal programs for SMEs and women-led enterprises. Mrs. Adeniji holds an MBA and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. She is a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Nigerian Society of Engineers. Currently, she sits on the board of the Nigerian Aluminum Extrusion Company (NIGALEX), where she contributes to strategy and growth.

International Breweries also disclosed changes to its corporate secretariat. DCSL Corporate Services Limited, which had been serving in an interim capacity, has stepped down from the role. The company thanked DCSL for its dedicated service during its tenure.

Stepping into the role of permanent Company Secretary and General Counsel is Temitope Oluwatosin, effective August 4, 2025. A graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University and a lawyer called to the Nigerian Bar in 2010, Oluwatosin is a Chartered Secretary and Governance professional. She is affiliated with both the Chartered Governance Institute (UK & Ireland) and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK). Before her appointment, she served as Head of Legal (Africa) at PZ Cussons and acted as Company Secretary for several subsidiaries. Her prior experience includes strategic legal roles at Union Bank of Nigeria Plc. With over 14 years of experience spanning the financial services and FMCG sectors, she brings valuable corporate governance and risk management expertise to her new position.

The company announcement was signed by Chief Executive Officer Carlos Coutino, who emphasized that these leadership refinements align with International Breweries’ commitment to strong governance and strategic leadership.
