CAC Launches Direct Payment System on Portal via ReVOps

The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has introduced a new direct payment option on its Intelligent Company Registration Portal (iCRP), allowing users to make payments for services through ReVOps. The development is aimed at improving efficiency, simplifying business transactions, and enhancing service delivery on the Commission’s digital platform.

The announcement was made in a statement posted on the Commission’s official X handle, where it confirmed that the new payment integration is now active for selected services on the portal.

The CAC explained that the initiative is part of ongoing reforms to streamline corporate registration and post-registration processes, while also reducing reliance on external payment gateways previously used for transactions.

Before the introduction of the new system, users relied on the Remita payment gateway, which supported debit card payments, bank transfers, and physical bank branch transactions. The shift to direct payment through ReVOps is expected to centralise and simplify the payment structure for users interacting with the Commission’s services.

According to the Commission, the reform is designed to enhance operational efficiency and improve user experience across its digital platforms.

“The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) wishes to notify its esteemed customers that payments for the following filings can now be conveniently made directly on our portal via ReVOps on the Intelligent Company Registration Portal (iCRP),” the statement read.

The CAC listed several services now available for direct payment under the new system. These include Annual Returns Filing, Change of Business Address, Cessation of Business, Change of Name, and Change of Objects. Other services covered under the update include Change of Proprietor or Partner details, Certified True Copies, Company Status Reports, and Letters of Good Standing.

The Commission stated that the expansion of digital payment options is intended to reduce delays associated with manual or third-party payment processing and improve turnaround time for service delivery.

The introduction of ReVOps is also aligned with the Federal Government’s broader digital transformation agenda, which focuses on modernising public service delivery and strengthening transparency in financial operations across ministries, departments, and agencies.

The Revenue Optimization and Assurance Project (REV-OP), under which the new payment system is implemented, was introduced as part of government efforts to enhance revenue collection efficiency and eliminate leakages in public financial systems.

The initiative is structured around three core objectives: transparency, efficiency, and digital transformation. It is designed to improve accountability in revenue processes while ensuring that government agencies adopt technology-driven solutions for financial management.

REV-OP also enables real-time monitoring of transactions and supports data-driven decision-making across public institutions. This approach is intended to reduce inefficiencies associated with manual processes and improve visibility in revenue generation activities.

With the CAC adopting the system, the Commission becomes one of the latest federal agencies to integrate fully digital payment infrastructure into its operational framework.

The CAC noted that the reform is part of its broader commitment to improving ease of doing business in Nigeria, particularly for entrepreneurs, investors, and corporate entities interacting with its registration and compliance systems.

The Commission added that the new payment structure will support faster processing of applications and reduce administrative bottlenecks that previously affected service timelines.

It further stated that users are expected to experience improved convenience, as all eligible transactions can now be completed directly on the CAC portal without external redirection for payment processing.

The CAC urged stakeholders, including business owners, legal practitioners, and corporate service providers, to take advantage of the upgraded system to enhance compliance with statutory requirements.

It also emphasized that the digital upgrade is part of continuous efforts to modernise its operations and align with global best practices in corporate regulation and digital governance.

The Commission reaffirmed its commitment to leveraging technology to improve transparency, strengthen service delivery, and ensure a more efficient regulatory environment for businesses operating in Nigeria.

The rollout of ReVOps on the CAC portal is expected to further support the government’s broader objective of digitising public institutions and improving the overall efficiency of revenue administration systems across the country.
