Nigerian Founder Launches ADT for Cyber Defense

Glemad, an artificial intelligence security and research firm, has officially announced the launch of Autonomous Defence Transformers, or ADT. This represents a new category of AI models specifically pretrained for security reasoning and autonomous defense.

Unlike traditional systems that are adapted from general-purpose AI, ADT models are optimized from the ground up for defensive operations. This breakthrough aims to move the industry away from reactive security measures toward a model where organizations can reason about threats continuously and act at machine speed without sacrificing safety.

David Idris, the CEO and Founder of Glemad, noted that security has historically been reactive, but ADT is designed to change that dynamic. The core problem identified by Glemad is that modern attackers operate at machine speed, automating reconnaissance and adapting their behavior dynamically. Most current security systems collect data after an event occurs or trigger detections only after damage has begun, creating a structural mismatch between the speed of the attacker and the human-paced response of the defender.

Since 2020, Glemad has focused on treating security as a continuous reasoning and control problem. This approach led to the development of ADT, which embeds attack telemetry, compliance frameworks, infrastructure semantics, and adversarial tradecraft as primary concepts during the pretraining phase. The results from early implementation through PulseADT are significant, showing a mean time to detect of just 0.8 minutes compared to the industry average of 287 minutes. Similarly, the mean time to contain threats has dropped to 3 minutes, which is drastically faster than the industry standard of 420 minutes.

The latest iteration, ADT-4 Pro, introduces advanced capabilities in signal interpretation, deviation detection, and dependency reasoning. To support the developer community, the company also launched the Glemad API, providing programmatic access to threat detection, vulnerability scanning, and compliance reporting.
