Zedcrest Names Ademola Akogun Managing Director of Investment Banking

Zedcrest Group has appointed Ademola Akogun as Managing Director of its Investment Banking division, a move reflecting the company’s strategic expansion following the acquisition of its Issuing House license.

The appointment positions Zedcrest to offer end-to-end investment banking services, including capital raising, structured finance, and advisory solutions.

He brings deep market insight, extensive experience, and a proven track record in executing complex transactions.

Akogun has over a decade of experience spanning infrastructure finance, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate advisory. He joins Zedcrest from Quest Merchant Bank Limited, where he served as Head of Financial Advisory & Debt Solutions, leading the origination and execution of major transactions across energy, infrastructure, and financial services sectors.

Prior roles include Vice President of Investment at EverCorp Industries, and earlier, senior positions at Vetiva Capital Management and PricewaterhouseCoopers Nigeria, where he contributed to capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, and financial advisory across West Africa.

He holds a Master’s degree in Economics (Energy Specialisation) and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Lagos, and has completed executive programs at Lagos Business School and Bocconi University.
