Zenith Bank Deepens UK Expansion with Manchester Branch Launch
Zenith Bank Plc has announced the opening of a new branch in Manchester, United Kingdom, strengthening its international footprint and expanding its support for cross-border trade between Africa and global markets.
The official launch ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, 2026, and is expected to bring together government officials, regulators, investors, and business leaders from Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
The Manchester branch will complement the bank’s existing UK operations and serve as a strategic hub for corporate banking, trade finance, treasury services, and other financial solutions for clients operating across the UK, Europe, and Africa. The bank said the expansion aligns with its broader strategy to facilitate global investment flows and deepen economic ties between both regions.

Zenith Bank’s Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dame Dr. Adaora Umeoji, described the move as a significant milestone in the bank’s growth as a leading African financial institution. She noted that Manchester’s strong commercial ecosystem makes it an ideal location to support businesses seeking opportunities across expanding African markets.
