Mobihealth Secures N1bn Investment to Expand Telehealth Reach

Integrated telehealth provider Mobihealth International has attracted a N1 billion equity investment from SCM Capital to accelerate the growth of its technology-driven healthcare services across Nigeria.

The company said the funding would enhance its telehealth infrastructure, expand its solar- and satellite-powered clinics, strengthen AI-enabled healthcare tools and broaden access to remote diagnostic services, particularly in underserved communities.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Dr Funmi Adewara, described the investment as a strong endorsement of the company’s mission to widen access to quality healthcare through technology. She stated that the capital injection would support faster expansion, additional telehealth clinic deployments and the continued development of a robust digital health ecosystem.

SCM Capital noted that the investment aligns with efforts to improve healthcare delivery nationwide, especially in remote and hard-to-reach areas. Transaction adviser Dr Gbadebo Adenrele said the deal signals increasing investor confidence in scalable digital health platforms capable of reshaping healthcare access.

The funding will also support the rollout of virtual specialist consultations, remote patient monitoring systems, integration of electronic medical records and expanded digital diagnostic capabilities.
