SUNU Assurances Nigeria Appoints Lucie Tannous Barry as Independent Non-Executive Director

SUNU Assurances Nigeria Plc (“the Company”) hereby notifies the investing public, Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), and its esteemed shareholders that the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) has approved the appointment of Mrs. Lucie Tannous Barry as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 2 January 2026.

Mrs. Lucie Barry holds a Master’s degree in Private Law from Université Mohamed V de Rabat, obtained between 1987 and 1991, and a Master’s degree in Development Economics from Université de Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, obtained in 1993. She also earned an Advanced General Management Certificate from HEC Paris in 2002.

She commenced her professional career in 1991 at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Bamako, Mali, where she worked as a consultant. Mrs. Barry has extensive experience in business management, growth strategy, performance improvement, human resources management, business development and legal affairs, with her professional exposure spanning several sectors including energy, banking, and innovation and technology. She has a proven track record in leading and managing executive teams across diverse business environments.

Mrs. Lucie Barry is currently the General Manager of ATC Comfrique, based in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. She is multilingual, with proficiency in French and English and basic knowledge of German.
