Executive Director of Mecure Industries Makes Significant Share Purchases
An insider dealing notification filed with the Nigerian Exchange shows that Mr. Arjun Udani, Executive Director of Mecure Industries Plc, acquired a substantial number of the company’s ordinary shares in a series of transactions during November 2025.
According to the disclosure, Mr. Udani made his first share purchases on November 17, 2025, at the Nigeria Exchange Limited. Over the course of that day, he acquired multiple tranches of Mecure Industries stock at a unit price of ₦27.70 per share. The transactions included purchases of 1,382 units, 2,000 units, 5,000 units, 36,616 units, 195,000 units, 600,002 units and a final block of 2,700,000 units. In total, Mr. Udani acquired 3,540,000 ordinary shares of the company.
The newly filed notification, dated January 23, 2026, lists the share dealings as an initial insider notification, indicating that this is the first time Mr. Udani has reported such transactions in his capacity as an executive director of Mecure Industries.
Insider share purchases by executives are typically viewed by market participants as a sign of confidence in the company’s prospects, as they involve directors or senior management investing their own funds in the firm’s stock.
