The Lagos State Government has reopened the QMB Restaurant and Clubhouse at the QMB Lifestyle Centre in Lekki after verifying that the company complied with all relevant building regulations and holds legitimate title to the property.

Bukola Helen Olusolade, Head of Corporate and Legal Services at QMB, stated that the review of building permits and Certificates of Occupancy confirmed adherence to Lagos State, federal, and international building codes, including safety requirements for structures near high-tension power lines. She added that the premises posed no risk to staff or customers, and the restaurant was immediately allowed to resume operations.

The state’s earlier enforcement action, which included a 72-hour ultimatum issued on November 8, targeted unauthorized constructions in Lekki. The area occupied by QMB had initially been designated as a parking lot but was developed into a commercial hub, prompting temporary closure until regulatory compliance could be verified.

Olusolade thanked patrons and stakeholders for their patience and confirmed that the company would continue to uphold the highest standards of compliance with regulatory authorities.
