VFD Group Grows Shareholders’ Funds to ₦71.5 Billion in Latest Financials
VFD Group Plc has released its unaudited consolidated and separate financial statements for the nine-month period ended September 30, 2025, showcasing a robust financial performance and strategic growth across its investment portfolio.
The Group posted a profit after tax of ₦6.63 billion, up from ₦4.47 billion in the same period last year. Total comprehensive income surged to ₦19.13 billion, driven by fair value gains on equity securities and improved net investment income. Gross earnings rose to ₦60.72 billion, reflecting strong returns from investment and similar income, which accounted for ₦49 billion.
The Group’s total assets grew to ₦383.39 billion, up from ₦295.67 billion as of December 2024. Shareholders’ funds also increased significantly to ₦71.5 billion, compared to ₦58.5 billion at year-end 2024, following a bonus issue and retained earnings growth.
VFD Group’s financial position remains solid, with cash and cash equivalents at ₦20.5 billion and investments in financial assets totaling ₦78.15 billion. The Group continues to maintain a diversified portfolio across subsidiaries in real estate, hospitality, logistics, lending, and technology services.
The financial statements were approved by the Board of Directors on October 28, 2025, and signed by Chairman Mr. Olatunde Busari (SAN), Group Managing Director Mr. Nonso Okpala, and Chief Financial Officer Mr. Raphael Olope.
The Group reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and regulatory compliance, certifying the accuracy of its financial disclosures in accordance with Section 60(2) of the Investment and Securities Act No. 29 of 2007.
