TRANEX Releases 2024 Sustainability Report, Reaffirms Commitment to ESG and Inclusive Growth

Trans-Nationwide Express Plc (TRANEX) has published its 2024 Sustainability Report, outlining its strategic efforts to drive responsible business practices across Nigeria’s logistics sector. The report, covering the period from January 1 to December 31, 2024, highlights TRANEX’s focus on environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and corporate governance.

Founded in 1984 and listed on the Nigerian Exchange since 1993, TRANEX operates across over 50 locations nationwide, offering express delivery, freight, cold chain logistics, and warehousing services. The company’s sustainability strategy is built on stakeholder engagement, data-driven decision-making, and a commitment to minimizing environmental impact.

TRANEX reported strong gender diversity, with women representing 32% of its workforce and 17% of board seats. The company also detailed its health and safety initiatives, grievance mechanisms, and training programs aimed at building a resilient and inclusive workplace. CEO Eric Emecheta emphasized the importance of innovation and human capital in navigating the challenges of a volatile global environment, reaffirming TRANEX’s mission to deliver social, environmental, and economic value.

The report also underscored TRANEX’s alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and its ambition to be a leader in ethical logistics across Africa.
