Sterling Financial Holdings Projects ₦20.7 Billion Profit in Q4 2025

Sterling Financial Holdings Company Plc has released its detailed cashflow projection for the fourth quarter ending December 31, 2025, outlining robust financial expectations across key performance indicators.

The company forecasts gross earnings of ₦149.27 billion, driven primarily by interest income of ₦116.73 billion. Interest expenses are projected at ₦42.88 billion, resulting in net revenue from funds of ₦73.85 billion. Credit impairment charges are expected to reach ₦12.39 billion, while other income is projected at ₦28.37 billion.

Net operating income is estimated at ₦89.82 billion, with operating expenses of ₦67.24 billion. This yields a profit before tax of ₦22.58 billion and a forecasted tax expense of ₦1.88 billion, leading to a projected profit after tax of ₦20.70 billion.

On the cashflow side, Sterling expects to generate ₦18.01 billion from operating activities. Investment activities are forecasted to result in an outflow of ₦187.93 billion, while financing activities are projected to bring in ₦266.16 billion. The net increase in cash and cash equivalents is estimated at ₦96.24 billion.

The company anticipates closing the quarter with a cash/bank balance of ₦554.35 billion, up from ₦458.11 billion at the beginning of the period.
