SolarCity Gas has announced plans to deploy superfast electric vehicle (EV) chargers across Nigeria as the adoption of EVs begins to accelerate in the country.

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of SolarCity Gas, Okeowo Olasubomi, disclosed the development at the recently concluded GITEX exhibition. He revealed that the first set of charging stations will be commissioned in November 2025.

Olasubomi, whose firm operates internationally as AllTravell Energies LLC, said the company had secured partnerships with leading petrol stations and other strategic locations nationwide to host the charging points.

“We have partnered with petrol stations and identified key spots where superfast EV chargers will be installed across Nigeria,” he said. “Electric vehicles are entering the Nigerian market at a rapid pace, and it is crucial that the right infrastructure is put in place to support them.”

He emphasised that only fast-charging technology will be deployed. “If the chargers are not superfast, we will not deploy them,” Olasubomi noted.

The company also encouraged interested buyers and EV enthusiasts to visit its website for information on the charging models that will be available.
