New Heirs Insurance Initiative Offers ₦5m to Support Retirement Goals

Heirs Insurance Group has introduced a ₦5 million grant programme to support retirees and pre-retirees in achieving their post-career aspirations.

The initiative, called the Heirs Insurance Retirement Dream Competition, is open to Nigerians aged 50 to 75 who are retired or nearing retirement.

Participants who have worked in paid employment are required to submit a one-minute video outlining their retirement dreams for a chance to win. The top entry will receive ₦2.5m, while the first and second runners-up will get ₦1.5m and ₦1m, respectively.

According to the company, the competition stems from the newly launched Heirs Insurance Retirees Club, a platform designed to help senior citizens network, access expert advice on health and financial well-being, and improve quality of life after retirement.

“Heirs Insurance Retirees Club and the Retirement Dream Competition are part of our broader mission to empower Nigerians and transform lives. Through this initiative, we are demonstrating our commitment to making insurance accessible and impactful,” the firm stated.

Winners of the competition will be announced in October 2025.
