SEC Chief to Deliver Keynote at Comercio Economic Outlook in Lagos

Dr. Emomotimi Agama, Director-General of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), is set to deliver the keynote address at the upcoming half-year economic review hosted by Comercio Partners.

Themed “Reconfiguration: From Global Trade to Quantum Innovation—A New Economic Era Emerges,” the event is scheduled for next Wednesday in Lagos. It will feature high-level discussions on economic trends, as well as a formal unveiling of Comercio’s economic report for the first half of 2025 and projections for the second half.

The conference will include two panel sessions. The first panel, focusing on Nigeria’s current economic landscape, will include speakers such as Prof. Philip Alege, President of the Nigerian Association of Macroeconomic Modellers, among other thought leaders.

The second panel will address broader global economic shifts, featuring Prof. Joseph Nnanna, Chief Economist at the Development Bank of Nigeria; Dr. Faith Iyoha, CEO of Comercio Partners Asset Management; Mr. Tosin Osunkoya, CEO of Graeme Blaque; Mr. Zeal Akaraiwe; and Dr. Muda Yusuf, CEO of the Centre for the Promotion of Private Enterprise.
