Central Bank of Nigeria Launches Redesigned Website with Enhanced Features

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has announced the official launch of its newly designed website, set to go live on Monday (today).

According to a statement signed by the acting Director of Corporate Communications, Sidi Ali, the revamped website incorporates advanced technology to improve functionality and user experience.

“The bank has developed a state-of-the-art Web API utilizing Microsoft .NET Core 8, the latest and most stable version, to enhance the speed and ease of navigation. We are proud to reveal that both the front-end interface and back-end systems were entirely developed in-house,” the statement read.

The redesigned website introduces expanded content, offering detailed information about the Bank’s mandate and operations. It is also optimized for mobile devices, ensuring seamless navigation across various browsers and platforms.

During a special dinner event at the 30th Nigerian Economic Summit in October, CBN Governor Olayemi Cardoso highlighted the ongoing effort to modernize the bank’s website. He emphasized that this initiative aligns with the bank’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and stakeholder trust.

“The revamped website is designed to deliver a more user-friendly experience, offering broader access to critical information. This effort supports our mission of fostering openness and accountability,” Cardoso said.

He further added, “Enhancing the accessibility of information is a key priority for the Central Bank. We aim to bring our activities closer to the public, providing clear insights into our goals and progress. The upcoming website overhaul reflects our dedication to transparency and openness.”
